Ticos Jam was born in 2004 by the joint efforts of Michael Meza, Manuel Prado the riders and all the sponsors. The main idea was to promote Flatland in Costa Rica by creating a quality event that eventually will attract international riders.
2013 will be the 10th year the event takes place in Costa Rica. This time the event has achieved it's main goal,not only promoting flatland in Costa Rica but also in the rest of Latin America and the world.
Riders and media from around the globe will come to the event.
Magazine coverage has been published in: Ride BMX, BMX Plus, Cream Magazine, Ride UK and many others. Tv coverage on Fuel TV as well as many online videos thanks to Bobby Carter from Diversion TV.
The Ticos Jam has a different aspect compared to other flatland events, making it a good experience for the amateur as well as the visiting international Pro riders.
Some of them travel before and or after the main event to the local exotic beaches and National Parks, some of the destinations included: Playa Montezuma, Manuel Antonio National Park, Samara beach, Puerto Viejo and many others, come visit Costa Rica to have a good time riding and relaxing at any of the local exotic destinations the country has to offer.
Ticos Jam 10 will take place this February 17th 2013 from 11am to 5pm
