About Ticos Jam

How the event started

Tico’s Jam started in 2004 with Manuel Prado and Michael Meza’s dream, the dream was to promote the Flatland lifestyle and to push the local riders to ride their bikes and learn new tricks, keeping them busy will help them be more productive by staying away from negative distractions.

Thanks to our sponsors each year every participant will go home with a prize, weather a new bike part, video or some kind of prop that will enhance his riding. Ticos Jam has become a famous sporting event in Costa Rica and Latin America over 400 spectators come out to check out the event, so far we’ve had riders from over 15 different countries come to the event to share a good time , such riders include Chase Gouin from Canada, Terry Adams, Scott Powell, Justin Miller, Richard Aguayo, Jon Dowker and Bobby Carter from the USA, Yibi from Mexico, 10+ riders from Panama, from France Alex Jumelin, Matias Dandois, and many more from many other countries.

There is now a tradition that after the Tico’s Jam, some of the riders spend a few days visiting some of the most exotic places in Costa Rica, every year a new place is chosen to enjoy a vacation, so far we have visited Montezuma, Manuel Antonio, Samara, Poas Volcano and we have many more places to discover.

Come join us this February 14th 2010 and ride with local Ticos then after the event let’s find out where the next exotic destination will be.

Don't miss it!
